1. 304 Stainless Steel Kettle

Features:Contains nickel and chromium, with manganese content below 2%. It offers good corrosion resistance, formability, and cost performance. It is widely recognized as food-grade stainless steel and meets daily safety standards.

Cautions:May experience slight corrosion if in long-term contact with acidic drinks (e.g., lemon water, carbonated drinks) or high-salt environments. Clean promptly after use.

Suitable for:Daily use with water, tea, coffee, and other common beverages. For normal environments without strong acids or high salt content, 304 is sufficiently safe and durable.

2. 316 Stainless Steel Kettle

Features:Improved from 304 with the addition of molybdenum. It has superior corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and antibacterial performance. It is classified as medical-grade stainless steel and more resistant to chloride ion corrosion.

Suitable for:Frequent use with acidic beverages, salty soups, coastal areas, high-humidity environments, or users with extremely high safety requirements.

Cautions:Higher cost. For general daily use, 304 is usually sufficient.

3. 316L Stainless Steel Kettle

Features:Lower carbon content than 316, providing stronger resistance to intergranular corrosion. However, it has lower hardness and is prone to denting or cracking upon impact or dropping.

Suitable for:Generally not recommended for insulated water bottles unless special anti-corrosion performance is required and the product will not be exposed to heavy physical impact.

4. Materials Not Recommended: 201 Stainless Steel

Risks
High manganese content, poor corrosion resistance, and not food-grade. Long-term storage of beverages may cause excessive manganese leaching, posing potential health risks. Avoid 201 for food-contact kettles.

Check the product label or engraving on the bottom of the kettle.

Only choose kettles clearly marked 304, 316, or 316L.

Avoid unlabeled, vaguely marked, or abnormally low-priced insulated kettles.
